Progress tracks your nutrient intake based on your Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) and provides information on each nutrient. The information provided is based on your personalized nutrition targets. These targets are based on the personal information submitted when you registered, height, weight, age, and gender assigned at birth. Click here to learn How to Change Personal Information.
Included in Progress are the following sections:
The Nutrient Wheels are designed to show your intake based on your RDA for each nutrient.
There are two Nutrient Wheels, one showing micronutrients and one showing macronutrients. You can access each wheel by toggling between them using the button below the wheel. Each nutrient section is color-coded based on your consumption. The colors are as follows:
- Green: this nutrient has been consumed to meet the RDA
- Yellow: some of this nutrient has been consumed, but it has not met the RDA
- Red: this nutrient has been consumed past the RDA
It is important to note that the nutrients that turn red have established "upper limits" set forth by the FDA. This is because certain nutrients can be potentially harmful to your health when consumed in large quantities. Not all nutrients have "upper limits." Some may have a "lower limit" but no "upper limit" so the percentage may show as being really high, but the color of the nutrient section still shows green.
The Micronutrient Wheel is interactive, allowing you to tap on each nutrient to learn more. Each nutrient shows you the following options:
Like the Micronutrient Wheel, the Nutrient List is designed to show your intake based on your RDA for each nutrient, but in a list rather than a pie chart.
The Nutrient List displays micronutrients in order from your lowest consumed nutrient to your most consumed. Nutrients that have not yet met the RDA are shown with a red exclamation point next to the percent consumed and foods that have met the RDA are shown with a blue check-mark.
The Nutrient List is also interactive, allowing you to tap on each nutrient to learn more. Each nutrient shows you the following options:
Please note, the Nutrient List and Micronutrient Wheel provide the same information, just formatted differently.
Consumption History shows what foods you ate over the past three days that contain the selected nutrient.
Each food is listed by meal-type and date and is based on the serving size you logged.
Shown with each food are the following:
- Serving Size Consumed
- Nutrient Amount Consumed
- % of the RDA
Deficiency Symptoms and Benefits
Deficiency Symptoms and Benefits is an educational page providing more information about the selected nutrient.
This page contains the following:
- Percentage of RDA consumed: this is shown in the same fashion as the Nutrient List.
- Description: a short description of the nutrient.
- Benefits: areas where the nutrient benefits your body. Click here to learn more about the Benefits Icons.
- Deficiency Symptoms: symptoms that you might be feeling if you are deficient in this nutrient
Recommended Foods shows foods that are high in the selected nutrient, with the most nutrient-dense options listed first. Recommended Foods pulls from foods you selected during the initial survey, foods you have previously logged, and foods you selected during FoodDating.
Each food is shown with its Food Information Card and can be logged directly from this screen to the meal associated with the current time of day. Click here to view How to Log Items Using Recommended Foods.
