Why Use Lists?
Much like keeping your favorite recipes handy, it’s nice to keep your favorite grocery items in an easy to access and convenient place. That’s where our list feature comes in!
Using lists, you Can:
- Create a default list for the things you buy every week (or almost every week).
- Keep track of foods you found to be especially good so you can order them again in the future.
- Create lists for specific favorite meals or holiday meals so you’ll never forget an ingredient again.
- Create separate lists of “best options” for each grocer you shop with.
- Create month-by-month lists of what’s in season so you know when to search your grocers for specific fresh items.
...and much, much more.

Organize Using Sub-Lists
Lists are a powerful shopping feature, but you can take them to the next level by creating sub-lists within your main lists. For example, your “Pantry” list might include sub-lists for Breakfast Items, Snacks, Baking, and Herbs & Spices, and a “Dinner Parties” list might include sub-lists for formal vs. informal parties, or for specific themes.
Create a Sub-List
The “New List” icon is the plus-sign you’ll see at the top of “My Lists” on either your dashboard or the sidebar at the left of the “Shop” screen. If you’re already working with lists, you’ll also see one at the top right of your screen across from the name of your current list.
- Click or tap on the down arrow next to your desired list
- Click or tap the blue “New List” button that appears under the down arrow
- Type in the name you would like to call your sub-list and tap or click “Save”
- Your new sub-list will appear under the chosen list, click or tap the “X” at the top of the pop up to exit
- Your sub-list will appear at the top of the chosen list
Add Items To Your Sublist
- Click or tap on your sub-list
- The empty list screen will open and you can search and add items the same way as highlighted above, the only difference is you choose the sub-list name rather than the main list name
